Dear Songahm Masters, Instructors, Members, and Guests

Welcome to Raleigh/Durham for the 2016 ATA Region 111 Songahm Taekwondo Championships, and our 27th annual family reunion.  It is such an honor for me to host this event each year. Seeing all my old friends and getting the opportunity to meet new ones, is what makes the weekend so special to me.

As you travel here to central North Carolina, I hope you will try to visit some of the wonderful parks, museums and other entertaining attractions we have in the area. The Raleigh/Durham area has had a rich and interesting influence in the cultural development of our great nation. The North Carolina Museum of History is a great place to learn and explore our history.

Our event this year, promises to be just as exciting as always. We have the pool party, the dinner and dance, exciting demonstrations, as well as the awesome traditional, extreme, and creative competitions. We, hope to have an activity for which everyone can participate and enjoy.

So again, let me welcome each of you to a weekend of fun, celebration, and opportunity.   Take the opportunity to make a new friend, learn from a different instructor, and meet our special guest, Chief Master Scott Stauffer. What ever you do, don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a great weekend with some of the most outstanding martial artists on earth. You’ll make some awesome memories that you can reflect on fondly for the rest of your life.
